Atlas Patrol was founded by Toby Shell, a veteran law enforcement professional with more than 25 years of experience in security and public safety. His career spans both local and federal service, including assignment to a federal tactical team responsible for protecting critical infrastructure and nuclear facilities.

That experience shaped Toby’s specialization in physical security. He spent years operating in environments where failure was not an option, and where layered protection, disciplined procedures, and proactive threat mitigation were essential. Those lessons now form the foundation of Atlas Patrol’s approach to safeguarding people, property, and assets.

Throughout his career, Toby has been passionate about equipping officers and security professionals with the tools, training, and mindset needed to operate safely and decisively. As an instructor in Use of Force, Defensive Tactics, Threat Detection, and De-escalation, he focused on practical, real-world application rather than theory.

After retiring from law enforcement, Toby founded Atlas Patrol to bring this same level of professionalism, preparedness, and physical security expertise to the private sector. The mission is simple. Provide reliable, disciplined security services built on experience earned in the most demanding environments.
